The freight software company that won both awards at the 2026 Jacksonville Venture Competition is now in due diligence with the fund behind the competition.
JACKSONVILLE, FL, UNITED STATES, August 26, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — FreightScout, the Jacksonville software company building an operating system for freight brokerages, is entering due diligence for investment from the Chang Robotics Fund following its win at the 2026 Jacksonville Venture Competition, where it took both the judges’ award and the crowd favorite award on August 19.
The Jacksonville Venture Competition is run by Chang Robotics founder Matthew Chang to surface and back founders building in Northeast Florida. Winning the competition carries more than a trophy. It puts the winning company in front of the fund itself.
“We look at the founder before we look at anything else. Connor spent twelve years inside this industry before he built a line of software for it, and that shows up in the product. That is the profile we are trying to find in Jacksonville,” said Matthew Chang, founder of Chang Robotics and the Chang Robotics Fund.
FreightScout founder Connor Miller spent twelve years inside freight brokerages before writing the first version of the platform himself, helping scale one brokerage division from $15 million to $130 million in annual revenue along the way. The platform is live in production at a mid-market brokerage today, where roughly 3,000 shipments a month move through it.
“I did not build this to win a pitch competition. I built it because I spent twelve years watching good people burn their days on work a machine should be doing,” Miller said. “What the fund’s interest tells me is that people outside of freight can see it too. The plan does not change. We go live at full production in September and we keep building.”
FreightScout was one of six finalists at the 2026 competition, alongside Aurumn, Acorn, ChainMail, RACOS and Optitrade.
The company launches full production with its founding customer in September 2026.
